Lilian Aber is a Ugandan politician who is currently a member of parliament for Kitgum district.
Imagecredit: Facebook, Lillian Aber.She is currently the woman member of parliament representing the women in Kitgum district and has recently been appointed as the minister of state for relief, disaster and refugee affairs by Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Lillian Aber attended Holy rosary primary school and Peace primary school where she obtained her primary school education.
She later attended Issoke Memorial College for her ordinary level of education and later she joined Old Kampala secondary school for her advanced level of education.
After completing her primary and secondary school education, Lilian Aber joined Makerere University where she studied and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Humanities from the school of Literature and communication skills.
While at University, Lillian Aber got involved in politics where she contested as a candidate for university guild president on the FDC ticket and the elections were tense, she lost and she was appointed as the vice guild president of the University by Ivan Bwowe the then guild president of Makerere university.
During her time at Makerere university, earlier on,Lillian Aber was appointed to the cabinet of the guild by the then guild president Ann Adeke Ebaju as her information minister.
After leaving Makerere University, Lilian Aber joined Uganda Christian University where she enrolled for Masters degree in Business Administration.
Later on, Aber was awarded an honory doctorate(PhD) from Zoe Life Theoretical College.
Later on Lillian Aber contested for the position of woman Member of Parliament for Kitgum district and she managed to win the elections.
Lillian Aber later on got involved with the Patriotic League movement led by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and was appointed by president Yoweri Museveni as the state minister for relief, disaster, preparedness and refugee affairs.
Lillian Aber is an inspiration for all the youths especially the girls and women who want to join politics.
