HOW TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE BROKE

 By Matata Mercy

Recently a friend of mine asked me if there is away for him to know if he is broke.

He asked me this question:How do you know that you are broke?

Today I would like to share with you a few tips on how you can actually know that you are broke.

Without wasting any time, here are a few tips that can help you to know that you are broke.

1.You spend everything that you earn

When you find out that as soon as you are paid, all the money that you have earned is gone.

Then you know that you are broke. You cannot save even  a dollar or any money from there.

If you cannot save anything, it means you are literally broke.

2. You are not saving for the future

When you find that it is becoming very difficult for you to save for your future, then it simply means that you are broke.

You find yourself always postponing your desire to save money.

You tell yourself that you will  save next month  and when the paycheck appears but you don't.

This is actually a tell tale sign that you are broke.

3. You are always arguing about money.

When you find that you are always arguing and quarrelling with your partner over money.

It is a clear sign that you are either running broke or you are already broke.

4.Your income is always dictating your lifestyle.

One fundamental question that you should always ask yourself while you are working hard for money is this:

Are you living to earn enough money or you are earning enough money so that you can live?

Truth be told, the hoader will always be a slave to his hoard.

5. You are making monthly payments for your car.

When you find that a certain amount of your money is going to the payment for the car that you are currently driving.

Leaving you with little cash in your bank account, then it simply means that you are broke.

6.You have credit card debt.

There is nothing like good debt.

All debt is debt and the fact about debts is that they need to be paid.

So if you have credit card debt, it means you are either running broke or you are already broke.

7.You have stagnated and stopped growing.

The truth is that it doesnot matter how much money you are earning.

As long as you are not growing, then you are dying.

By growing, I mean you are doing the things that make you feel alive.

You are doing what you are passionate about.

8.You do not contribute the way you want to.

The most important question to ask in life is:What contribution are  you  making into the lives of others?

Your worth is not determined by your networth.

Real wealth and networth is determined by contributing beyond yourself to society.

Giving is living and it is much easier to give when you are no longer worried about money.

The truth is that being broke is okay but being broke without a plan to break the cycle is the worst thing that can happen to a humanbeing.

It is also true that we all need money to live, but you are not the contents of your wallet.

The most important thing rather than the income that you earn is how you spend the resources that you have.

We have seen people who earn six figures or even seven figures per year go broke.

We have also seen people who earn 20,000 dollars per year but they are not broke at all simply because they live below their means.

They live deliberately and intentionally.

Real wealth, security and contentment come not from the possessions that we accumulate but from the way that we live the one life we have been given.

I hope these tips help in your journey to financial freedom.

 Good luck.
