HOW TO USE FEAR TO YOUR ADVANTAGE

Have you everbeen in a situation where you have been gripped by fear? I know you have. 

Although some people claim that fear  is not real, the truth is that fear is real and it actually exists. 

People have fear for different things, may be you fear talking to people in public what is commonly known as public speaking.

Or you fear flying which is actually the fear for hieght.

 It doesn't matter what fear you have, that fear exists and denying it's existance will not provide any solution  to the problem. 

Today, I would like to share with you a few tips that can help you to overcome your fear and instead use it as an advantage to help you move forward towards your goals.

Fear is a very terrible emotional feeling that makes us not to achieve the goals that we have set for ourselves.

Because of fear we some times miss opportunities in life that could help change our lives.

 Do you know that there is a solution for the fear that stops us from achieving the most important goals in our lives? If you don't know, it actually exists.

For example if you love travelling but you fear flying, there is a strategy that can help you overcome these fears.

 One strategy that you can use is called the  five second rule and the other strategy that you can use is called an anchor thought.

 Using these two strategies in combination will help you to easily overcome your fears.

 For example if you fear flying and you are going to fly from Newyork city and back  to your home city in Kampala, Uganda. 

 You can apply the 5 second rule as soon as you take your seat on the plane. This means you count 5,4,3,2,1.

 And then you take a deep breath. Then you can apply the anchor thought. 

In this case the anchor thought could be you thinking about excited you will be when you meet your family members. 

How you will feel when you see your mother and how you will feel when you hug your dad. 

These thoughts will bring joy into your life and you will forget about the fear and the anxiety that you have been feeling. 

This technique has helped me to overcome my fears and anxiety for several years now.
