Katende Andrew who is popularly known as Dre Cali is a Ugandan singer and songwriter who is signed to the record label called Mpaka Records which is owned by Ugandan singer Ykee Benda. Dre Cali was born in the year 1995 in the central part of Uganda.
He is actually the first born of the three boys of his parents. Dre Cali grew up in Entebbe which is found in Wakiso district.
Dre Cali attended White Angels Primary School before joining St. Henry's College Kitovu. He later completed his secondary school education at Mengo Secondary School where he obtained his Advanced Level of Education certificate.
After completing his secondary school education, he joined Uganda Christian University where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
He started his musical journey back when he was in Senior Three where went to a studio near by his grand mother's place called Sous Studio and he was able to record a few songs from there.
Dre Cali has been specializing in contemporary Raggae dance hall music and is also very good songwriter.
Dre Cali has released songs like Ekifuba, Ewaluma, Zig Zag and has also done some collabo with another Ugandan singer called Joseph Sax called Ebisooka ne bi Sembayo.
Dre Cali is an inspiration to all the aspiring music artists out there especially the youths who would love to join the music industry.
