DROWNING PEOPLE DO NOT CHOOSE THEIR LEADERS

By Matata Mercy

The people who choose their leaders, how do they act towards them. Are they courageous to their leaders or not.

10 Questions to Ask when Choosing Leaders | Leadership Freak

If people are vulnerable and insecure it is very hard for them to be able to choose good leaders.

People who are drowning do not choose their leaders.

Octavia Butler tells us that drowning people do not choose their leaders wisely, here are his thoughts:-

When apparent stability disintegrates.

As it must-

God is change-

People tend to give in

To fear and depression,

To need and greed.

When no influence is strong enough

To unify people

They divide.

They struggle,

One against one,

Group  against group,

For survival, position, power.

They remember old hates and generate new ones,

They create chaos and nurture it.

They kill and kill and kill.

Until they are exhausted and destroyed.

Until they are conquered by outside forces,

Or until one of them becomes

A leader

Most will follow,

Or a tyrant

Most fear.

How are we choosing our leaders and do we take into consideration the kind of people who are choosing those leaders?

I do not know the criteria but may be some one out there can actually find out.
