Have you ever heard of the word dictator? If you have not heard of this word then you might as well not be living in our world.
When you have a leader who overstays in power is he a dictator or not? For example the Queen of Great Britain, Queen Elizabeth has ruled the monarchy for over 20 years and she is still ruling to present day, is she a dictator or not?
Many people have talked about dictators in Africa and if you are keen on the political landscape in Africa especially in Uganda, you will have heard of a leader called Idi Amin who once ruled Uganda as it's president and has been often refered to as a dictator by many people including the Europeans and the Americans.
Former Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe was also refered to as a dictator by the white settlers who occupied land in his country. Muamar Gaddaffi of Libya was also called the same.
Therefore, who is a dictator? When an elected leader overstays in power is he a dictator or not? What about the Kings and the Queens that are ruling different colonies around the world? Are they also dictators or not?
If you have a boss at your work place who is very harsh and rude to you, yelling at you at every given moment, is that boss a dictator or not? I do see double standards in this kind of labeling called dictatorship.
Do you think that there is any value in becoming a dictator or not? I do believe that people who are dictators do actually have some form of confidence in them and pushes them to do the things that they would love to accomplish.
These are people who do not want to be slowed down by others but keep pushing things towards the way they would like them to turn out.
I do believe that it is very important for you to develop some dictatorial tendencies if you are going to live a fulfilling life.
In the world that we live in, most people out there are following the rules of others, they are living under fear and are afraid to say or even do what they actually want to do with their life.
There are parents who have forced their kids to pursue careers that the kids did not love or even had any passion for.
Imagine your parent telling you study medicine simply because he needs a doctor in the family yet you would love to do music and record hit songs.
Would you be willing to yield to his power or not? Do you have an inbuilt dictator feelings inside of you that will push you towards what you want or you will just accept what people are telling you?
Sometimes it is better for you to unleash your dictatorial tendencies in order to bring sanity into your life.
Do not accept to be pushed by dictators if that is not what you want, run after your desires and passions even if it means being kicked out of your apartment and end up on the streets.
Atleast you do have your freedom to do the things that you want.
Having freedom in your hands is better than continously asking yourself how things would have been after choosing to be in palms of a dictator.
