PUBLIC TRANSPORT COULD BE SUSPENDED AS THE COVID-19 NUMBERS INCREASE


The number of Corona virus infections in Uganda is increasing at a higher rate and the Minister of transport and works Gen. Katumba Wamala has said that the Ugandan government might be forced to ban public transport again as the numbers increase and drivers are refusing to obey the SOPs that were set by the health authorities.

Boda riders were supposed to register their passengers but none of them is doing so. Currently Uganda has around 1,500 cases and of which the new cases are 66 and 30 are around Kampala.
