WHY ARE YOU DOING BUSINESS?

 By Matata Mercy

Have you ever dreamt of starting your own business and wish that one day you can also become your own boss?

Motivation for having your own business: Why are you doing this ...

Then if you have, very many people out there also have thought about venturing into the world of business just like you.

From my own point of veiw, the most common reason why most people start businesses is that they want to make money.

Most people out there are motivated by money and will do anything just to be able to put some money into their pockets.

The only problem is that if you are motivated by money then there is a limit to how long you can go since you will reach a point where money will nolonger matter and beyond that point, you might lose the motivation to work hard towards your goals.

Take a look at the billionaires out there like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg or Jeff Bezos, do you think these people are motivated by money? I don't think so.  They have reached the point where money doesnot actually matter much in their lives.

They are chasing what most people call self-actualization. These people have made more money than they could actually spend throughout their life time.

When you reach that point in life, money nolonger becomes a motivating factor and you will need to look for something else to motivate you.

Other people have started businesses by looking at some of the problems around the world that they can solve and bring concrete solutions to.

For others, it is about improving the existing solutions and making them better. This is to me the best mindset that should be used to build a business.

If you are focused towards solving the biggest problems in the world, you will always be motivated to continue solving problems and i think this will keep you in the mode of working hard towards solving problems and you will never lose your motivation.

The biggest question that you should be asking yourself is why you are actually in business? What motivates you to do business? Is it money or solving problems?

I believe that you know the answer very well.
