Mimi Suleiman is a Tanzanian music artist, singer and also a songwriter who has been able to release several hit songs like Mingi and Nyuli. Suleiman was born in Zanzibar which is part of Tanzania the East African country.
In the early 1980s, Suleiman decided to travel to the United Kingdom and while there, she started teaching metallurgy at the University Birmingham.
She taught for some years before she decided to take up a career in the music industry. Suleiman's music involves some elements of afrobeat, deephouse, soul and also some electronic music.
She usually uses her native language of Kiswahili to sing her songs but she also uses other languages like English and also Fulani.
Her most popular song is called Mingi on which she featured Soulwax FM which was done on the Grand theft auto V track.
