Jean d'arc Ingabire Butera who is popularly known as Knowless is a Rwandan singer and songwriter who is one of the top female music artists in Rwanda and has been able to release several songs.
Knowless was born on the 2nd of October in the year 1990 in a place called Ruhango district which is found in Rwanda.
She is the only child of her parents who are know deceased.
The mother of Knowless was the lead singer in the local choir church which was a Seventh Day Adventist church.Butera went to a school called Escaf primary school which is found in Nyamirambo and she later proceeded to Aparude secondary school for her ordinary level education before joining Apace secondary school which is found in the capital city of Rwanda called Kigali.
In the year 2012, she joined Kigali Institute of science and technology where she obtained a University degree in Computer sciences and management.
Knowless started her career as a teenager who was at the time singing in the local church choir. In the year 2011 in the month of December she released her first album that was tittled Komeza as the debut album.
In 2013, in the month of March she released her second album which is called Uwo Ndiwe. She is signed under a music label called Kina Music and she has been able to perform all over Rwanda and also in the neighbouring countries most especially Uganda.
Knowless has worked on various music projects with several other music artists like Danny, Paccy, Ciney, Urban Boyz who all actually hail from Rwanda.
She also worked on a song with the Ugandan singer Vampos. Knowless has said that she has been inspired musically by American singer Norwood Brandy.
She has been able to win several awards over the years as a result of her musical efforts. Knowless was voted as the Best new artiste in the year 2010 at the Salax Awards competition.
In the year 2013, in the month of August she became the third during the Primas Guma Guma superstar talent competition.
In the year 2013, she was able to win her second award at the Salax awards. Knowless is an inspiration to all the youths out there or even to the girls out there who would like to join the music industry.
