The President of Burundi, Pierre Nkiruzizza is dead after suffering from a heart attack. According to reports from the Government officials in Burundi, the 55 year old president died as a result of suffering from a heart attack.
According to a statement that was published on the official twitter page of the Government, his excellency was feeling unwell on Monday and was admitted at Karusi Hospital which is found in Central Burundi and he was improving but unfortunately, he got cardiac arrest and died on the spot.
President Nkuruzizza has been in power since the year 2005 and was supposed to be replaced in the month of August.
