Have you ever thought of earning some income out of your creative work? Most people who are trying to earn some income out of their creative work always get stuck while trying to figure out the business model that they will use to sell their products or service.
They continue doing this while actually not doing a lot of creating, it means that they are actually waiting for some form of clarity.
Trying to wait for clarity is truly a very big waste of your time and so is trying to figure out a business model that could work for your new found business prematurely.
It is actually easier for you to be able to find clarity when you are in motion than when you are stuck.
My suggestion is that you should start in a simple way. You should focus your energies on the rythm of creating and sharing your works.
Do not worry about monetization and do not even worry about the business model especially if it is actually the thing that is getting you stuck.
While focusing on something, you look for people who will love and appreciate what you can create and also share.
Appreciating your work simply means that you are adding value and this value is being received and also acknowledged. If there is no any other form of appreciation like saying thank you or any other forms of appreciation coming back to you then it simply means that the value that you are delivering is very little.
Not appreciating your work doesnot mean that you are not adding value, it could actually mean that you sharing your work with the wrong people.
All you need to do is to keep sharing your work. If you create something and you discover that the people that you are sharing your work with do not appreciate it, just stop sharing it with them.
Some one else will appreciate it and therefore share it with someone else, it could be anywhere else.
Even if you find yourself bumping into random people trying to find the right people, it is far much better instead of wasting your life by sharing your work with people who are misaligned who will instead ignore you or just end up whining.
Do not try to please people who do not appreciate your work, in fact the faster you get rid of them the better.
They will leave room for others who do appreciate and also love your works. When you have got an audience that appreciates and loves your work, you can then start experimenting with some business models or these same people could even give you some ideas on how you can be able to earn some income out of your creative work.
It is the regular creating and sharing that will make your business model sustainable.
If you create and share your works regularly and you move towards the people who appreciate and share your works, you will in the long run be able to figure out a sustainable way of earning income.
If you are not sure of where to begin, just pretend that you are five years old and then start working on something without any care in the world after dumping your adult brain.
