Have you ever been in a situation where you do not have enough income to pay your bills?
Well i have and several times. The idea that we should save and save more rings the bell each and every time but the real question is what do you do when the money that you actually have in your pocket is too little that you will need to cut off some of your expenses deliberately?
Most people will start by saving as little as they can and some will even go as far as saving a dollar on a certain purchase so that they can actually stay afloat and not sink into the state of being unable to pay their own bills. But how far can you with this saving?
The truth of the matter is that you can only go as far as the zero income level and beyond that you are cooked like a hamburger.
Trying to save a dollar or two on a cup of coffee or a hamburger is one way of you reinforcing your scarcity mindset and that is the worst form of being that a human being can actually be in.
The scarcity mindset instills the lack of resources and in this case money in our pockets and accounts. It makes us justify our ridiculous ways of trying to keep afloat with our way of living which actually is not possible in the longrun.
Trying to chop off some of your expenses could actually be a good idea for example cutting off Cable Television that makes you feel unproductive each and everyday might actually make you feel better and also in the longrun it will help you save more money or suspending your subscriptions to newspapers could save you from the pile of old papers that you do have sitting on your reading table.
But there is truly a certain limit that you can go to when it comes to cutting your living expenses and there are certain basic essentials in your life that you would not like to touch. Some of these basics are food, water, shelter and clothing.
You do not want to comprise your eating habits just because you are trying to save some pennies for the next day. If you have been living in a nice cool suburb that has mansions, all you can do is try to move to an affordable apartment that can help accomodate you for now.
You need to put on clothes, you cannot afford to walk naked on the streets or else they will label you insane. Therefore ensure that you do not compromise on these basics.
Since with the idea of saving with your purchases, you can only go as far as the zero limit mark, you will then need to find a better alternative to your money problems.
I think the only solution that can actually take you out of your money problems is to find ways in which you can be able to increase your income. One way would be to get another job that pays you more.
But a better way would be for you to find ways in which you can be able to build passive income that could help you kick out your money problems for the long term.
Instead of worrying so much about money, you should be spending more time thinking about how to create something that is of value to people out there and also be able to share your services or products with those people.
You could write an article or create art and share it for free with people out there.
The people that you share your work with will most certainly give you feedback and if you find out that they actually do appreciate your work and you are already beginning to build fans and an audience for your work, then from there you can figure out ways in which you could monetize your services or products.
Some of your fans could also give you some ideas on how you can be able to generate some form of income from your own creations.
I have witnessed several people out there start restaurants in the same way. Some one prepares a nice meal and gives it out to friends and family for free.
These colleagues enjoy and appreciate the meal and the next thing you know is that they ask him or her to open up a restaurant and a successful restaurant business has began and earning some crazy amount of income for the owner.
You have the power to get out of the trap of living paycheck to paycheck so use your creative power and abilities to create a better financial future for yourself.
