1. Are you excited about the years ahead or frightened?
Leaving a comfortable job that pays well can be very scary and terrifying especially if you have been earning a fat cheque and getting all these perks and nice allowances for yourself.
One reason why most people have kept in jobs that they do not like is simply because they love the comfort that the paycheck will be able to give them. You will need to do alot of soul searching that can help you make the right decisions for yourself.
According to Jeff Bezos, when he decided to venture into business he asked himself some soul searching questions.
He said that he knew that when he was eighty years old, he would not be able to regret having tried but he knew that he would regret if he had not tried at all.
Trying something and failing at it does not hurt as much as not trying out something. If you do not try out something, you will not know how the outcome of that particular thing would have been and you will forever live with regrets within you.
2. Are you ready to risk losing your money?
The world of business is full of risks and profits, if you are going to become an entrepreneur then you will need to be ready to spend money that you could easily lose and never get back.
When you invest there are two things that could happen, there is a possibility that you could lose all your money or you could gain and make profits. You should therefore be psychologically ready to face the losses that come with doing business.
3. Get physically involved and make your hands dirty

When you are just starting your business journey, you will most likely not have teams that you can work with, no sales personell and if you are in the tech industry, you might as well become the engineer or the software developer.

We are all excited when we start a new venture or company and we have all these dreams and stats of how big our business will grow to but time tells us the reality on the ground and we are then humbled. The truth is start businesses fail and many die after going bankrupt.
Some businesses are killed by new innovations that come in place just consider how many brick and mortar businesses closed as a result of the rise of Amazon. As an entrepreneur, therefore you should have an exit strategy for your business.
Are you willing to sell your business to a company that is planning to acquire it if buyers came along or you would like to keep your business and allow it to grow?
