Pavel Durov is a Russian entreprenuer and programmer who is popularly known for being the founder of the popular messaging app called Telegram Messenger.
He is also credited for being the founder of the popular social networking website called Vkontake which is the best in Russia and as a result he has been refered to as Russia's Mark Zuckerberg.
Pavel Durov was born in St. Petersburg although he spent most of his childhood in a place called Turin which is found Italy.
Pavel Durov's father used to work in Italy and therefore he spent most of his time there. At the age of 17, his father left Italy along with him and they returned to Russia.
Pavel later attended St. Petersburg State University and while a student there, he created an online-library for his fellow students that could help them to share books and the notes offered by the lecturers.
In 2006, Pavel Durov founded a social network called Vkontakte and this later became the most popular social media platform in Russia and it is offered in many languages and not only Russian.
In the year 2013, Pavel Durov created the app called Telegram Messenger that was after working on the application for about 18 months since they actually wanted to make something that provides alot of fun and also at the same time it is very secure to use.
With the help of his brother called Nikolai Durov they decided to make the application an open platform which is non-profit so that the users can be able to trust them since during the time the Russians were now becoming very aware of their privacy issues.
Pavel Durov later left his home country Russia to spread his wings into other territories and during this time he had lost control of around 80 percent of his company as the Russian government started intefering with the operations of his company.
In the year 2018, Pavel Durov was able to raise about $1.7 billion that was to be used to create Telegram Open Network called TON which is system that would provide a range of services like file storage, censorship proof-browsing and also processing payments.
Pavel Durov is an inspiration to all the youths out there who are planning to join the world of entreprenuership or business.
