Eric S. Yuan is an American internet entrepreneur and billionaire who is popularly known for being the founder and chief executive officer of Zoom video communications which is a cloud based company.

Eric Yuan was born in the year 1960 in the province called Shandong province in a place called Tai'an in the People's Republic of China.

 He studied at Shandong University of  Science and Technology and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics and Computerscience and later went back to the same University to obtain a Masters degree in Applied Mathematics and computer science.

 After completing his studies at University, Eric Yuan decided to apply for a visa to go to the United States but with several failed attempts and during his nineth time he was successful and obtained the visa.

 In the year 1997, Yuan started working for a company called WebEx, and this company was later acquired by another company called Cisco Systems at $3.2 billion in the year 2007. Yuan was later appointed as the Vice President of Engineering at Cisco Systems company.

While working at Cisco, Yuan started working on a small project called Zoom which was developing a video communication tool and this later grew as more people started using the platform to communicate among themselves.

The platform gained popularity when corporate companies started using the platform as a form of communication tool for their employees.

By June 2019, Eric Yuan has shares worth $3.7 billion in Zoom Video communications company. Eric Yuan got married at a tender age of just 22 while he was still a student pursuing a Masters degree at Shandong University of Science and Technology.

Eric Yuan is an inspiration to all the youths around the world who are planning to join the world of entrepreneurship most especially the technology industry.
