Very many people are beginning to use mobile phones to take photos. Today i will provide you with some tips on how you can take nice photos with mobile phones so that you can vividly keep the memories with you.

Here are some mobile photography tips for the beginners out there.

1. Make sure that you clean your lens

This looks to be something simple but actually cleaning your lens can bring a huge difference to the way your photos appear.

Before embarking on taking any photos, start by cleaning the camera lens of your mobile phone since the little fingers that are trying to offer you help can actually add dirt to your camera lens. It's a good practice.

2. Ensure that you manually adjust your focus

The mobilephone is an incredible technology just like a real camera and it is able to guess what you are actually pointing the camera lens at and try to take the photo.

You can also manually adjust the focus of the lens by simply tapping on your phone screen and then selecting the object that you want the camera lens to focus on.

3. Avoid using flash

The flash that your phone camera has sucks alot there is actually no reason why you should use it.

If you are taking photos during the day using the natural light or sunlight will work better than the so called flash on your camera.

There for there is no solid reason why you should actually use flash when taking photos using your mobile phone. All you have to do to switch off flash is to simply tap on the flash button so that the flash is off.

4. Adjust the exposure manually

When i talk of exposure,  I simply mean the brightness of the photo that you are going to take or planning to take. You can actually manually adjust the exposure on your phone camera.

To adjust the exposure, all that you have to do is tap on the screen of the phone and when you see the sunburst symbol or the symbol of sunlight on the screen, then use your finger to swipe up or down so that you can be able to adjust the exposure by either increasing it or reducing it depending on your preference.

5. Apply creativity while composing your photos

Applying some kind of creativity while composing your photos simply means that you should not always place your subject matter in the centre, you can also place the subject in just one-third of the image which is technically termed as Rule of Thirds.

It involves the subject being placed on one-third of the image and then the eye is forced to be drawn to that image hence making it very pleasing to it.

6. Make sure that  you straighten the horizon

When there is a crooked horizon in a beautiful image, this makes the beautiful image look awkward. So ensure that you take your time to straighten any horizontal lines that are found within the frame.

You can do this by selecting the grid function and then ensuring that the horizontal lines are actually in line with the grid lines.

7. Make sure that you use leading lines

One way in which you can actually be able to lead the viewer into the frame and also draw attention towards the subject matter is by using leading lines.

Furniture, roads or even just buildings can act as leading lines hence inviting the veiwer into the image urging them to stay for sometime  and also rest their eyes.

8. Take photographs in natural light

Natural light is simply the light that is coming from the outdoors and it is actually pure and very clean light.  It always has a very unique quality which is perfect for taking  nice photos.

When you take photos at different times of the day, you will realise that light affects images differently as the day progresses.

9.  Avoid using the zoom function

The last but also important tip that i can offer you about taking nice photos using mobile phones is to avoid using the digital zoom function that is found on your mobile phone.

The truth of the matter is that the digital zoom function of the phone camera is not as powerful as most phone companies claim and instead using it introduces distortion and noise into the frame.

You should just try to move closer to the subject matter that you would like to take a shot of instead of trying to use the zoom function.
