Hope Masike is a Zimbabwean music artist and dancer who is popularly known as the princess of Mbira and her music is rooted in both the traditional and also the modern African culture.
She is currently the leading singer for the singing group which is called Monswezi. Hope Masike studied at Zimbabwe College of Music where she was able to graduate successfully.
In 2008, Hope Masike kicked off her music career and her music has alot of influences from the Francophone and Lusophone across Africa.
Since her music is traditional she has to always find away to fuse it intelligently with the modern types of music so that it gives a new flavour to the music lovers today.
Hope Masike became the first female music artist in Zimbabwe to win the category of the Outstanding female musician at the National Arts Merit Awards in the year 2013. In the year 2016,
Hope Masike was nominated in the Kora awards for best video of the year category.
Hope Masike is an inspiration to all the youths in Zimbabwe and across Africa who would like to join the entertainment industry.
