THINGS THAT YOU SHOULD DO WHEN YOU ARE OVERLOADED WITH WORK

 In this fast paced world, we sometimes find ourselves trapped in the rythm of work and there is nothing else that we can actually think about except work.

When you wake up in the morning each and everyday, all you think about is work and at work you have a big to do list that you will need to complete by the end of your working day. All this stress will most likely force people to lose interest in their work.

So how can we be able to combat the work overload that we do face these days? Today i  bring you some tips on how you can be able to combat work overload and become a effective at the work place.


1. Take some time to pause and then reflect
 
 One thing you should do when you are overloaded with work is to pause and the reflect on what you are doing.

 This means that you will need to stop working for sometime as you try to analyze the reason why you are overloaded with work and what you can actually do in order to reduce the work overload. Take a deep breath while you are at it as ou find out where the problem is.


2. Begin simplifying your work
 
Now that you have been able to discover the problems and the reasons why you are overloaded with work, it's time to start working on simple solutions that can make your work simple and easy to complete.

You can start by completing 2 to 3 tasks in a day and avoid piling up more work on yourself.  It is not about how many things you have to do but it's about how many tasks you can be able to accomplish and complete in one single day.

This will keep you focused on the tasks that you want to accomplish in a day and you will discover that you are getting closer to your goal each and everyday.

3. Cancel commitments that are too much on your plate
 
When you are overwhelmed with work, the last thing you want to see is another commitment to do something.

This could be a request to attend a meeting or helping out with another activity somewhere. If you already feel you are overloaded with work, you  should ensure that you do not accept those commitments and ensure that you cancel them right away.

You need to be bold and develop the courage to cancel all those commitments that will only stress you out and nothing else.

In end what matters is how much you have accomplished not the amount of  work that you have piled up infront of you. How do you overcome work overload?
