Stella Atal is a Ugandan fashion designer, entrepreneur and painter who is also the founder and chief executive of a fashion house called Atal Stella Fashion house which is located in the European city of Paris which is found in France.
Stella Atal was born in the year 1983 in the Northern part of Uganda in a place which is found along the shores of Lake Kyoga.
Stella had the early years of her education especially primary school education the Ugandan capital city called Kampala and she later relocated alongside her parents to Kenya where she was able to continue with her education.
Stella Atal finally completed her studies in the United Kingdom where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts and later on obtained a Masters degree in Fine Arts.
In the year 2007, Stella Atal decided to start her own fashion label which she called Atal Stella where she has been focusing mainly on the ecofriendly,natural and materials that are able to be recycled.
Stella Atal's fashion designs have been displayed African Fashion week that was held in New York back in the year 2010, she also showcased at the Green Fashion in Switzerland in the year 2011.
As a result of her success in the fashion world, her work has now been featured two issues of the prestigious magazine of Italy called the Vogue Magazine.
In the year 2016, Stella Atal decided to move to Paris which is the capital city of France and was able to obtain a lincense that could now allow her to be able to manufacture and also sell her branded clothes including some of her copyrighted art pieces in both France and also the rest of the European Union countries.
She has been touring different continents like United States, and other European countries like United Kingdom where she has been showcasing her work to the public in those countries.
Stella Atal has received numerous awards for her efforts in the fashion industry and some of these awards are African Designer of the year award that was given to her by Ethical fashion awards that took place in London in the year 2008.
Stella Atal again won another award in the West African country of Cameroun which was called Afric Collection fashion award which took place in Douala in Cameroun.
Stella Atal has been lecturing both art and fashion designer students and has also worked with refugees most especially the disadvantaged youths and girls.
Stella Atal has also worked with HIV/AIDS patients found in the Northern region of Uganda.
Stella Atal is an inspiration to all the youths in Uganda and most especially in Africa particularly the girls who would love to join the fashion industry that it is possible to achieve your dreams and goals irrespective of where you do come from.
