The music industry in Uganda has been growing very fast in the past few years since the time when some brave Ugandans decided to take it upon themselves and work on their own music.
Before that, most Ugandans loved and listened to Congolese music at the time, they listened to the likes of Kandabongoman, Pepekale and others.
Today, Ugandans are listening to their own music and we even have some good music rappers in the country. Today, i would like to celebrate some of the best Ugandan rappers of all time.
This list is not in any particular order.Here are some of the best Ugandan rappers of all time.
1. GNL Zamba
One of the pioneers of Uganda's rap music industry is called GNL Zamba who rose to fame after releasing some hit songs back in the year 2007.
The talented rap music star took the Ugandan music industry by storm after releasing hit songs like Koi koi, Aniyali Amanyi and many others.
He could be regarded as one of the forefathers of the rap music in Uganda.
2. Navio
One of the most talented Ugandan rap music artists is called Navio. He has released several hit songs and has been able to produce some original music sounds by fusing the rap music with the local traditional sounds producing something that is unique to the audience.
He is regarded as one of the best music rappers in Uganda and even East Africa who have taken the game of rapmusic to the next level.
3. Ruyonga
Although he is more into gospel music, Ruyonga has alot talent and regards to rap music and he has been able to release several rap songs that have become hit songs in Uganda. He is one of the best music rappers in Uganda.
His music has touched the souls of very many people around the world.
4. Babaluku
One of the legends in the rap music of Uganda is called Babaluku.
He has mentored and inspired very many Ugandan youths to join rap music and many have learnt alot from him and his work ethic. He is arguably one of the best rap music artists in the Pearl of Africa.
5. The Mith
When you make a list of the best rappers in Uganda and you donot include The Mith in that list then you are truly lying to yourself.
He is one of the legends in the Ugandan rap music who have taken it to the next level after laying a foundation for it.
He has inspired and mentored very many youths to join the rap music indutry and hence helped the industry to grow to the level where it is right now. Who is your best Ugandan rapper?
