There is alot of change that is coming in the Ugandan politics and also the music industry at large.
One thing that we are observing is the fact that very many music artists and entertainers are now considering joining the world of politics.
Following the successful entrance of the likes of Hon. Kyagulanyi Sentamu who is popularly known as Bobiwine and Hon. Kato Lubwama the dramatist into the world of politics, the latest entrant into the world of Ugandan politics is Joseph Mayanja who is popularly known as Jose Chameleon.
Joseph Mayanja is now planning to contest for the mayoral seat in Kampala city come the year 2021.
He recently joined one of Uganda's oldest political parties called Democratic party and was unveiled in a fully attended ceremony where he was offered the post of the chief mobiliser of the party by the party president Nobert Mao.
Following the entry of Hon. Kyagulanyi Sentamu into the world of politics, we have seen alot of comotion in the Ugandan politics where by very many people seeking for seats in Parliament have been tying their political future and alligence to the man of the moment.
We saw Hon. Kyagulanyi Sentamu move to the Eastern part of Uganda in the district of Jinja where he campaigned for Asuman Basalirwa where he was able to win the elections and he also moved to the northern part of the country in the West Nile district of Arua where he swept all of the votes in favour of Kasiano Wadri causing alot of comotion in Arua district.
Now that Dr. Jose Chameleon has joined the world of Ugandan politics should we expect the same kind of response from the Ugandan population especially the youths or not?
This question will be answered when things start to unfold towards the 2021 elections.
