Hassan Wasswa Mawanda is a Ugandan footballer who has played football professionally for clubs like KCCA FC in the Uganda Premier League, ElGeish which is a club that is found in Egypt.
Hassan Wasswa was born on the 14th of February in the year 1988 in a place called Nsambya which is a Kampala suburb, the capital city of Uganda.
His father was a football player who once played for the Uganda national team and was called Hassan Biruma and the mother is called Betty Nanozi. Hassan Wasswa attended Shimoni demonstration school where he had his primary school education.
After completing his primary school education, he joined Kakungulu Memorial secondary school for his secondary school education before transfering to Bulo Parents School which is found in Butambala district where he completed his Ordinary Level of education.
After completing his Olevel education, he joined Buddo Secondary School for his A level and completed his senior five at the school.
He then joined Standard High School which is found in Zana for his final year in A level and this is where he started playing football. After completing his A level, Hassan Wasswa joined Makerere University Business School where he obtained a Diploma in Business Administration.
Hassan Wasswa plays the position of a defensive midfielder on the pitch. Hassan Wasswa started his football career at Standard High School in Zana and later joined KCCA FC in the year 2006 where he played for one year before he was signed by an Ethiopian club which is called St. George FC.
According to Hassan Wasswa, former Cranes coaches, Laszlo Czaba, Jackson Mayanja and Bobby Williamson were the people who groomed him into a very good footballer.
After joining St. George FC, Hassan Wasswa was lured into the South African club which is called Benoni Premier United and later on he joined CapeTown FC in the year 2010 before moving to Turkey to a club called Karabukspor FC in the year 2012.
He has played his football at many clubs like St. George FC which is found in Ethiopia, KCCA FC, ElGeish FC in Egypt.
Hassan Wasswa recently featured in the National team for Uganda in the 2019 African Cup of Nations that took place in Egypt where Uganda reached the last sixteen of the competition and were later ejected by Senegal.
