BIOGRAPHY: INSPIRING STORY OF PRISCILLA NAMAYANJA

Priscilla Namayanja is a Ugandan television presenter and radio personality who came into the limelight after she was brought in as a replacement for another radio personality called Ruth Kalibala who was working at Super FM alongside Rasta Rob on the breakfast show.

 

Rose Namayanja was born in the Central region of Uganda in the capital city called Kampala in a place called Kawempe-Mbogo which is found in Kawempe division.

 She is the second born in her family. Her father is called Fred Kakeeto while her mother is called Edith Namusisi who both are residents of Gayaza Kimwanyi. Priscilla Namayanja attended  Stallions primary school for her primary school education.

 

After completing her primary school education, Priscilla Namayanja went to Eagles Nest secondary school where she obtained her Olevel education and also her Advanced level of education.

After completing her highschool education, she joined Makerere University where she graduated with a  Bachelors degree in Development studies in the year 2013.

After completing her degree, Priscilla Namayanja worked at Super FM in the morning show alongside Rasta Rob and they were a good team of the morning crew. 

She later left Super FM and joined another radio station called Beat FM, where she became the co-host of the evening show which is called Gigenda Gitya.

 She then joined WBS television as a television presenter and while there, she was called upon to come and work at Bukedde TV which is part of the Vision group of companies. 

She called her move from WBS television to BUkedde TV as  her turning point in her career.

 While at Bukedde TV, she became the host of the television show called Akasengejja where new music works that are released by Ugandan music artists are criticised and analaysed so that the musicians can be able to produce the best work for their fans.

She hosts the show alongside Joseph Batte who is a journalist working a Vision group.

The show runs every saturday morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Priscilla Namayanja is an inspiration to all the young girls out there that it is possible to achieve your goals in life, your goals and dreams are valid. 

She is an inspiration to all those who are planning to venture into the media and entertainment industry. She continues to inspire her fans  through her work in the media industry.
