HeysUg is a Ugandan music artist who is signed under the record label that is owned Ugandan television presenter and After 5 show that airs on NBS television host called MCKATS along side Douglas Lwanga and popular DJs Roja and Mercy who are popularly known as Fantastic Four.
HeysUg was born in Mbale district which is found in the Eastern region of Uganda.
After completing his primary school education, HeysUg joined secondary where he was able to complete his ordinary level of education and also his Advanced level of education which is the last level in highschool education.
Due to lack of fees, he was forced to drop out of school and he decided to start chasing another dream and that is the dream of becoming one of the biggest music artists in Uganda.
HeysUg decided to board a bus to the Ugandan capital which is Kampala so that he can be able to get into contact with people who could help him take his music career to the next level.
On arrival to Kampala, he had no one to go to although he had a sister who is older than him who lived in Kampala but since he came on his own he could not go and stay at her place and so he had to hustle and find ways of surviving in the city.
HeysUg slept on the streets of Kampala and sometimes he spent the night in different night clubs until dawn. During the day, he moved around the city looking for studios where he can start working on his music.
Along the way, he met friends who directed him to a studio called Boombaque studios which is owned by a music producer called Boombaque.
Boombaque loved his voice and encouraged him to continue doing music and said that if he can handle his talent very well, he will be successful and promised to connect him to a few friends of his who have managed music artists in Uganda.
He then called MCKats and talked to him who by that time had split up with his partner and music artist that he was managing at the time called Fille Mutoni.
MCKats decided to meet up with Boombaque and HeysUg and after seeing some of his work, he signed him to his new music record label called Kats Music.
HeysUg continues to rule Uganda's music airwaves with his music, thanks to Mr. Katamba who is popularly known as MCKats.
