BIOGRAPHY: INSPIRING STORY OF FARIDAH NAKAZIBWE


Faridah Nakazibwe is journalist who is of Ugandan origin and works at the Nation media group owned television station called NTV.

She is a news anchor who is known for reading the evening Luganda news that airs on the station each and everyday.

 She has also become the host of a popular television programme called Mwasuze Mutya where she hosts different guests each and everyday and then they discuss several different topics ranging from Love and relationships, career and also health topics.

Faridah Nakazibwe was born on 18th August in the year 1984 in Sembabule district which at the time was part of  the greater Masaka district found in the central region of Uganda.

 Faridah Nakazibwe's father was called late Hajji Shakib Senyonjo and her mother was called Hajjat Sarah  Senyonjo.

 Faridah Nakazibwe is the second born of the eight siblings that her parents have as their children. Faridah Nakazibwe went to Kisozi boarding primary school which is found now in the present day Gomba district for her early years in the primary school.

She later transferred to Bwala primary school which is found in Masaka town where she was able to complete her primary school education and obtain her certificate in primary school education.

 Her parents later decided to relocate with the whole family to Masaka town. After completing her primary school education, Faridah Nakazibwe joined Taibah high school where obtained her secondary school education and completed her advanced level of education.

After completing her secondary school education, Faridah Nakazibwe joined Islamic University in Uganda which is found in Mbale district located in the Eastern region of Uganda. She later graduated with a degree in Mass Communication.

 After completing her degree in Mass Communication, Faridah Nakazibwe got a job at WBS television during that time as a television news reporter.

She worked at WBS television for only two years before she was hired by NTV which is owned by the Nation Media group. 

While at NTV, Faridah Nakazibwe started working is the weekend news anchor for the television station in the local language of Luganda which is spoken in the central region of Uganda.

 Currently Faridah Nakazibwe has her own show that she does host of NTV Uganda and the show has gained a massive following and audience from all over Uganda and even around the world.

This show is called Mwasuze Mutya that airs in the morning from 9.00 am to 11.00am.

Faridah Nakazibwe is the mother of two beautiful daughters whose father is actually an Engineer by profession and he is called Dan Nankunda.

 The couple met while Faridah Nakazibwe was working at WBS television station which has now currently closed down.

She later started dating the Vice chairperson of the ruling NRM political party who is called AlHajji Moses Kigongo and their relationship lasted for about a year before it ended in the year 2015.

 Faridah Nakazibwe later got married to  another man called Omar Ssali who is a Ugandan gainfully employed in a country found in the Middle East.

 Faridah Nakazibwe continues to inspire youths especially girls who are aspiring to become journalists and also plan to work in the media industry. 

She is truly an inspiration to all.
