Have you ever been in a situation where something bad happens to you and you end up blaming another person for what did happen to you?  I know you have.

For my case, i have had so many situations out there that have left me thinking that it is other people who are  causing me alot of pain and trouble.

But the truth of the matter is that other people out there are innocent and we cannot blame them for our own failures or things that do happen to us.

We are  responsible for what happens to us and we  should accept the things that happen to us as our own doing if we are going to make any progress towards the things that we do want to achieve in our life.

In Uganda, very many people like blaming the rains for making them come late to work or school.

They claim that because it did rain, they arrived late. Well looking at this scenario, if you woke up earlier before the rain or even bought an umbrella knowing well that it is the rainy season, you wouldn't have arrived late to work or school.

Blaming other people or things will not take us to where we desire to be  but instead it will make us more miserable since we do not have control over other people or even other other things like the weather.

But  the good news is that we do have control over ourselves and we can decide to do whatever we want to do whenever we want.

Taking charge our life is how we will be able to get to where we want to be. If you want to lose weight, you should take personal responsibility of what you eat and what you do not eat, exercise more and read more books about living a healthy life.

These are the things that you can control and help you to become more healthy not what other people or things.

If you want to improve your finances, all you need to start with is look at where the money you are making is going, you could start by opening up a piggy bank and then start saving a certain percentage of your income instead of blaming the bad economy or lack of help from the government for your debts.

When you take personal responsibility very seriously, iam very sure that you will find a very big change in your lifestyle.

You will stop crying about your problems and instead you will take charge and  take up  the drivers's seat for your destiny and keep moving where you want to go.

The most successful people i know did take charge of their life and that's why they were able to achieve the things that they did.

They did not sit there waiting for the  government to come in to help them start off working on their dreams.

If you want to succeed, you should start on your own and the help will come when you have moved a certain distance.

Knowing that you are accountable for your own results in life will energize you and give you the power to work as hard as you can. Independence is one thing that separates successful people from the unsuccessful people out there.

So, today i urge you to start taking charge of your life. Know that everything that happens to you is simply because you invited it not another person.

When you understand this, you will know that everything you achieve in your life depends on what you do with the opportunities that come your way.

It is your responsibility to bring your dreams and goals to life, not the government or your parents or friends or anybody out there.
