RWANDESE TRADER HAS BEEN SHOT AFTER BEING FOUND SMUGGLING BEANS INTO UGANDA ALONG THE BORDER


There was panic at the Uganda and Rwandan border after a Rwandese businessman who is called Mr. Innocent Ndahimana was shot while allegedly trying to smuggle about 500kgs of b eans into Uganda.

According to the Ugandan police, the Rwandan national was smuggling beans through a panya route that passes through Rushaki village found in Rubaya sub-county in Kabale district when he was shot by Rwandan security officials.

 Mr. Ndahimana said that the Rwandan security officials warned him about smuggling the goods but he wanted to make a profit on beans since it is more expensive in Uganda.

He said that the Rwandan security officials shot him on the right arm before he fell down and the goods were impunded by the security officials.
