Tasila Mwale is a Zambian singer and songwriter who started singing while she was still young and while she was still at school, she was a member of the Scripture Union of her school where she joined the singing group of the Union.
Tasila came into the limelight after she won the Pop idol competition that was organised by MNet and it was called the MNet Idols Zambia. After winning the competition, Tasila signed a contract for recording music with a record label Mondo Music corporation which is found in Zambia.
The contract that she signed gave birth to her first album that was called Uchi which literally means honey.
This album had so many music artists on it who did collaborations with Tasila. Some of these Zambian music artists included Ballard Zulu, Joe Chibangu and another music artist called BlackMuntu.
After Tasila released that album, she announced that she was now going to take some time off from her music career so that she can be able to focus more on her school activities.
In 2006, in the month of May Tasila started working on another album.
Tasila Mwale is an inspiration to all aspiring music artists in Zambia and around Africa especially the girls out there who would like to join the entertainment industry.
