Following the numerous murders that have occured over the past few years, the Uganda police has embarked on the registration of guns in two districts, Mpigi and Kampala.
According Edward Ochom the Director in charge of Research in Police, the force has registered about 28000 guns in the two districts and this is the first phase of the exercise that will continue across the country.
