One time i was reading a  personal development blog that is being written a man called Joel Brown called Addicted2Success and i came across a concept that changed my way of thinking about doing side hustles.

Initially i had looked at sidehustles as just a form of hobby that i did when i was not busy or i was just passing sometime.

It dawned on me that a weekend warrior is a person who is able to practice his or her sidehustle outside his work hours. Initially i used to think that weekend warriors only did what they enjoyed over the weekends and that was that but i was awakened by this new revelation.

Today i will give you some of the tips that will enable you to be able to practice your sidehustles  and not ever burn out while keeping your day job.

Practicing your passion full-time

What does it actually mean to be able to practice your passion full-time without any distractions? Some people  out there will say that it is actually the best thing that can happen to a humanbeing. I do not agree with this kind of thinking.

You will realize that if you do practice your passion full-time, you will end up losing the desire or momentum that initially sparked off your desire to do this.

Iam personally passionate about blogging and i have been doing this for some years now and i feel like i will never come to the end.

This passion that i do feel about blogging has been driven by the fact that during the time when kicked off blogging, i was a student studying Engineering at University and i did blogging after class hours. So therefore i was not doing blogging full time.

During that time, i realised that i was producing far more content than now when iam out of school and have plenty of time on my plate.

One could ask the question, what actually happened to my burning passion that did take over me initially.

The truth of the matter is that when i was out of school, i always felt that i had alot of time on my plate and therefore i thought i could write articles for my blog anytime only to realise later that i had done nothing.

My time was occuped by several other activities like watching the latest series or movies on Netflix, watching Youtube videos and also escorting friends to parties.

It turned out that given alot of time, i could not produce more content but instead i did far less work than before.

This scenario will give you the platform to understand that if you are going to do your passion full-time, you will most likely face challenges  of not even doing the least tasks that you are supposed to do.

Human minds have a way in which they do perform under pressure and time constraints than they do perform when there is no time schedule allocated in anyway.

When you do have a dayjob, you are building up some pressure or distraction from your passion and this will help you to keep going and that's why most of us who do have sidehustles cannot wait to get out of  the office and head back home where we can start doing our sidehustles.

What takes place at the workplace will keep you busy as your desire for your passion keep rising up.

Do not act out of desperation  of earning an income

The sole reason why very many people out there are having day jobs is simply for them to be able to make some money so that they can be able to pay their bills.

There are very few people out there who are taking up day jobs for the sole reason that they do love what they do and are waking up each and everymorning  heading to work that they do love and are passionate about.

Having a sidehustle that you truly love will keep you going and make your day when your day job looks like hell.

The sidehustle will be something that you will be looking foward to after completing the tasks of the day. Now if you turn your sidehustle into a full-time job, you will ultimately be forced to monetise your sidehustle.

For some people out there, they have been able to monetise their sidehustle. I know of people whose bills are being paid by the incomes that they have been making off their blogs.

But the truth is that for these people, it did take some good amount of time before they could start earning money from their sidehustles.

If you are just beginning to work on your sidehustles, being forced to monetise it is not a good idea and it will ultimately kill your creativity as your focus will be diverted towards the money instead of your creative output.

If you can, please keep your day job and continue doing your sidehustles after office hours and over the weekends, you will surely see progress in your work and one day you will reach the peaks that you desired to reach earlier on and may be you will be able to earn some income off it.
