Angela Ijeoma Okorie who is popularly known as Angela Okorie is a Nigerian movie actress and model who decided to join the Nollywood movie industry in 2009 and kick start her acting career.
Angela Okorie was born on the 17th August in a place called Cotonou which is found in a place called Benin Republic which is found in the Western part of Africa.
She is the third born of her parents and she has five siblings.
Angela and her siblings were all born and they grew up in Cotonou in Benin republic. Angela Okorie studied at the University of Lagos where she pursued Theatre Arts and she later attended Lagos state University where she was studying Public Administration.
After completing her University course, Angela Okorie joined the modelling industry where she worked with Soap making company and she spent almost a decade in that industry before making up her mind to venture into the movie industry.
The movie that she first starred in is called Sincerity and this movie was produced by a man called Stanely Egbonini and the director of the movie is called Ifeanyi Ogbonna. Angela Okorie came into the limelight after she appeared in the popular movie called Holy Serpent.
In 2014, Vanguard newspaper described Angela Okorie as one of the most sought after actresses in Nollywood and also she was said to be one of the actresses who are quick to easily interprete the roles that they will play in the movies that they do play in.
Angela Okorie has expressed her desire to venture into gospel music recording in the near future and she has said that she also plans to go into movie production.
She has revealed that she has written and recorded very many songs and very soon she will be unveiling her new songs and also album to the public very soon.
Angela Okorie has revealed music has always been a part of her and it is something that she has always wanted to do in life. By August 2014, Angela Okorie had appeared in over 100 movies since she first joined the Nollywood movie industry back in 2009.
Due to her talent and acting skills, Angela Okorie won the City People Entertainment Awards for Best supporting actress in an English film.
In an interview that she had back in 2014, Angela Okorie explained that her mother was not happy with her joining the acting business as she claimed that it was against the customs of their religion.
She also revealed that she cannot go nude just to act in a certain movie scene irrespective of how much money she is offered on the table.
She further said that her role models in the Industry like Genevieve Nnaji did not undress in order to become popular in the industry. She also added that she respects and appreciates her cultural values and that is one reason why she will not even go naked on movie scenes.
Angela Okorie got married to her lovely husband called Mr. Chukwuma Orizu and the couple has a child together who is called Chamberlain Orizu.
According to the Dailypost newspaper, Angela Okorie has revealed she is always doing her best to separate her family from the media.
She also dismissed the rumours that were going around that she had broken up with her husband claiming that the rumours were false. Angela Okorie’s son who is called Chamberlain Orizu was born on the 5th of September in 2011.
Angela Okorie who is the mother of only one child has been sharing the photos of her son all over social media and her family at large and they do look very cool.
