BIOGRAPHY: INSPIRING STORY OF MASHA MAPENZI



Masha Mapenzi is a Kenyan female music artist, singer and songwriter who is popular for doing African gospel music and also afro fusion music.

 Masha Mapenzi was born in a place called Watamu which is found in Kenya one of the countries that is found in the Eastern part of Africa. 

Masha Mapenzi has been doing music in various styles like chakacha, taarab including baango and also the famous afrobeat that is done across the whole of the African continent. 

During the pop idol music competition, Masha Mapenzi emerged as the winner of the competition after she decided to perform her own version of the popular gospel song which is called When peace, like a river. 

Masha Mapenzi released her first musical album for her fans to be able to listen to recently and she decided to upload it on the ITunes music store.

The album that was released is called Uhiko and the album contains a variety of songs done by this beautiful gospel music artist and some of the songs that are found in this album are Nainua Macho, Yangu,  Mahabubu, Tamu Tamu and also the popular song that does carry the name of the album called  Uhiko. 

In 2010, Masha Mapenzi was nominated for the Diaspora Coast awards after the massive airplay that her hit song called Uhiko received along the coastline of Kenya and all over the country.

 Masha Mapenzi later emerged as the winner of the prestigious award called the Diaspora coast awards in the category called Diaspora artist of the year 2010. She also became the runners up female music artist of the year 2010.

 Masha Mapenzi is one of the top gospel music artists in Kenya and one of the most inspirational Kenyan female music artists who is giving a lot of hope to all the youth Kenyans out there who are planning to join the music industry to become stars in the industry. 
Masha’s music continues to inspire Kenyan youths and all it’s people to a better future and hope for tomorrow.
