BIOGRAPHY AND INSPIRING LIFE OF PATIENCE OZOKWOR



Patience Ozokwor is a Nigerian actress, entrepreneur and teacher who is popularly known as Mama Gee. Patience Ozokwor was born on 25th March 1958 at Enugu State in a place called Ngwo found in Nigeria.

She was born in a village called Amaobo. Patience Ozokwor studied her primary school education at Abimbola Gibson Memorial School which is located in Lagos. 

After completing her primary school education, she joined Methodist Girls School which is found in Yaba. As a result of the Nigerian civil war, Patience Ozokwor relocated with her family to Enugu. 

After completing her secondary school education, Patience Ozokwor joined the Teacher Training College which is found in Afikpo and after that she went to IMT in Enugu where she studied Fine and Applied Arts and decided to specialise in Graphics. 

After completing her teacher training course, she taught for four years and then she decided to join the world of broadcasting.

 Patience Ozokwor then got a job as an announcer at the FRCN found in Enugu but when the state decided to close down the medium wave bands, Patience Ozokwor lost her job and she decided to start her own business.

 Patience Ozokwor decided to get married soon after she completed her course but unfortunately she lost her husband just a few years ago. 

Patience Ozokwor joined acting in Nollywood after she was asked to feature in an advert that was telling people to go to school before joining the world of business.  

She performed very well in the advert and from there she managed to land her first role in a movie called Authority in 1998. 

The movie did so well and became very popular among the public and this exposed Patience Ozokwor  to very many movie directors who started hiring her for the different movie roles. She has acted in over 200 movies. Patience Ozokwor is very talented that she can perform any role given to her in a movie. 

She is one of the biggest Nigerian actresses today and she  was honoured  by the Federal  Republic of Nigeria  during the celebration of the North and South protectorate Amalgamation in 1914.
