1. Use VPNs to access the social media platforms

The fact that these government officials in Uganda decided to levy some tax on the Ugandans for using social media will not affect our use of the social networks.

You can use what is now commonly known as VPN which stands for Virtual private Network.

This is a software that is used to access internet services in places where it has been blocked by the authorities in that area.

For this case in Uganda, the Uganda Communications Commission has blocked the social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and instagram from being accessed freely without the payment of the tax which is 200 shillings per day and valid up to midnight.

There are so many VPN softwares that are available online and you can look up some on Google but one is called Opera mini which very common on every many mobile phones and smart phones.

If you have this software or operating system on your phone, you will be able to access the social media platforms without any hustle or payment of the dreaded fee.

2. You can also try to destabilize the software used by UCC

If you are a very good programmer and also you know about hacking, this will work for you, you can use some softwares called malwares and use it to cause chaos within the software and it infrastructure of the Uganda Communications Commission and when you do that, you will be left with only one option that is to access the social media networks.

When doing this, you should ensure that you do hide your IP addresses and also the location of your computer on the network.

This is very effective for people who want to work on computers and also access the social media sites on their computers.

This method works for people who are good at programming and breaking into computer systems. There are some Trojan horse and malware softwares that you can use to do this properly.

If you are very adventurous and would like to try out some of these softwares, you can use Google to search and learn more about them.
