Leila Kayondo is a Ugandan female music artist and social scientist who
was born on 1st January 1988 in the central region of Uganda.
Leila Kayondo went to Seeta boarding primary
school where she used to participate in the school choir and also she actively
took part in school festivals hence representing her school very well.
After
her primary school education, she joined Naalya Secondary school which located
in Namugongo in Kampala for her ordinary level of education.
She then went to
Greenville International school where she pursued her Advanced level of
education and still actively participated in music at the school.
After
completing her highschool education, she joined Uganda Christian university
where she pursued a Bachelors degree in Social works and social administration.
Leila Kayondo started her music career in a group that was called “Dream girls”which
was an all girls group that was selected after a certain music competition. The
group had very many hit songs among these were ‘Weekend’ and Wandekangawo.
Leila Kayondo later quit the dream girls group in 2009 so that she could concentrate on her solo music career.
She has also
released some hit songs like “Awo’ and “Relaxing”. She has been in a relationship with SK Mbuga
who is one of the tycoons and socialites in Uganda, although their relationship
ended.
