POLICE OFFICERS ARRESTED FOR TAKING BRIBES OF 500,000 SHILLINGS



Two police officers who have been operating in Lira district have been arrested for bribery allegations and this comes after an employee of the Tip top bakery limited which is found in Lira district recorded a statement against the two policemen for their misconduct during a case in which the employee accused his employer at Tip top bakery limited of torture and spraying pepper in his anus. 

Police officers in trouble over a UGX 500,000 Bribe
The two police men who are under custody have been identified as Nelson Obia and another policeman who is called Aria.

 The two are alleged to have received a bribe amounting to 500,000 shillings and the victim had reported the case to police standard unit and filed a complaint against the two and according to the regional police commander, they will appear before the disciplinary committee court at the region. 

The two will be charged with abuse of office and misconduct and if they plead guilty they will become subjects to police disciplinary measures in accordance to the police act.
