BIOGRAPHY OF KASUKU

Isaac Wazabanga who is popularly known as Kasuku is Ugandan media personality; radio presenter and television presenter who hosts the Talk n Talk show on one of Uganda’s most popular local radio stations called Dembe Fm and is also the host of the morning talk show on Spark Television. 

Kasuku was born in Namirembe hospital in Kampala and he lost his parents when he was still young. 

He grew up in Bukoto which is a Kampala suburb and they used to reside in Bukoto brown flats where his father who was a medical doctor in Mulago hospital had been offered a house to live in by the Ugandan government. 

Kasuku had his primary school education at Mugwanya preparatory school which is found in Kabojja. After his primary school education he joined St. Mary’s college Kitende for his ordinary level of education where he became known and very familiar with the director of the school called Mr. Mulindwa Lawrence.

  After his ordinary level of education he joined Standard High school which is found in Zana in Entebbe for his Advanced level of education where he did an Arts combination for the last two years of his secondary school education. 

After completing his secondary school education, Kasuku joined UMCAT school of Journalism where he obtained a diploma in Journalism and media studies before joining Cavendish University to pursue his degree.  

During his A’ level vacation, Kasuku worked different places including bars, and also in some shops that were owned by some Indians before joining Ndere center where he worked as a receptionist at the front desk  of the cultural center.

 During this time he had already joined UMCAT was studying journalism and so he got an opportunity to work with Red Pepper Publications at the time when it was just in its early days and he used to work on very many articles at the publication including 3.00am  and other gossip pages in the Newspaper. 

After joining Red pepper, he also managed to get a job with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation which is commonly known as UBC where he was hosting a gossip show on its television station called Star Television. 

During this time, there was a lot of politics that was being discussed on radio stations especially on weekends and one of the managers at Monitor publications owned radio station Dembe FM decided that he wanted to start a new entertainment show on radio where they would discuss  issues relating to music and entertainment as a whole and this is the time when  Kasuku and some of his colleagues got the chance to join Monitor publications and launch their new radio talk show called Talk nTalk show. 

The show has become one of the most listened to shows on radio and has instantly made him a celebrity of sort. 

From this show he has managed to even come back to television where he is now hosting a morning show on Spark television a long side Shafiq.
