Popular Kenyan actress and the first Kenyan to win a BET award has again been nominated for another BET
award.
In 2014 Lupita Nyongo became the
first Kenyan national to win a BET award in the country by being voted as the
best actress in 2014 and hence winning the best actress BET Award for her role
in the movie 12 years of slave. She also
won her first Academy Award (Oscar) in
2018.
The year has been good for Lupita
Nyongo after her movie Black Panther became one of the top highest grossed
movies of all time.
She has now been nominated for the best actress category
again in the Bet awards. She acted as Nakia
a role in the Black Panther movie.
