The communication regulatory body Uganda Communication Commission has
withdrawn and suspended lincenses of over 20 radio stations that are promoting
the act of WitchCraft around the country.
According to UCC, the said radio
stations are promoting WitchCraft content. At the beginning of 2018, Uganda
communication commission warned Radiostations against promoting witchcraft.
According to the spokesperson of UCC,
Pamela Ankunda, the action was taken after it was discovered that the
radio stations were advertising witchcraft, aiding and abetting electronic
fraud.
Some of the radio stations that
have been affected are Metro FM, Nile
FM, Apex FM Dembe FM and others.
