An Indian politician has been arrested and taken to prison for
embezzling about 37 million rupees.
The powerful Indian politician called Lalu Prasad
Yadav has been sentenced now to
14 years in prison for the act.
He was arrested for embezzling funds while he
was the state’s top official.
The politician was arrested for embezzling about
$570,000 for buying fictious medicines
and cattle fodder while he at the time was
the chief minister for Bahir state in
India. The politician is about 69 years old.
