According to media reports, a Catholic Bishop in Brazil has been
arrested by the police for diverting tithe funds which were about $608000 dollars from the church coffers. The Brazilian police
arrested the Bishop on Monday called fromosa Jose Ribeiro.
When police raided
the resident of the Bishop, the police discovered a false wall into which bags
were kept that contained the money.
According to the prosecutors of the state,
the Bishop leads a group of people who are responsible for diverting church
funds.
