WHO IS VICTORIA KIMANI?
Victoria Kimani is a Kenyan singer and songwriter who grew up in many
places around Africa and the United States. She is an American born Kenyan
singer who was born on 28th July 1985.
Victoria Kimani’s parents
were clergy and they carried out missionary work in different parts of Africa
and the world.
She spent part of her
childhood days in Nigeria in a place called Benin City.
Victoria Kimani started
her music career at the age of 9 and when she was 16 years old, she started
performing alongside other church choir members as a backup member for them and
at that time she also started writing songs for other music artists.
After she
arrived in Kenya, she joined university but immediately dropped out and decided
to pursue music as a career.
She performed the remix for Ice prince’s Oleku
song in the year 2010 that became very popular in Kenya and other parts of
Africa.
She was later signed to Nigeria’s music label called Chocolate city
that is found in Kenya.
She was the first female artist to be signed to that
music label in Kenya. She then immediately released her first song called
“Mtoto” while in the label. She is one of the top and most popular music
artists in Kenya and Africa.
