According to reports coming from Yumbe district, found in Northern part of Uganda two people have been
reported dead and others nursing injuries as clashes between youths residing in
Yumbe district and the Uganda Revenue Authority officials escalate.
According
to sources in Speak FM the riots were sparked off when some URA officials
started confiscating unregistered bodabodas and in the process arresting some
of the bodaboda riders.
As a result of this, the youths in the area started
setting ablaze vehicles and other things
that belonged to Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs) for not offering
them jobs.
