Panic has
engulfed Busia residents after thugs attacked a police station in Busia and
decided to flee with guns.
According to police spokesperson in Bukedea region
in Busia district the thugs attacked the police station at 9pm on Sunday night
and they were travelling on a Kenyan registered motorcycle.
During the scuffle
with the thugs, a police constable called Stafford Walunsa was shot and killed
by the thugs before they took off with his guns.
The police constable was
rushed to hospital in Kenyan side. The gun incidents have in recent years
increased in Uganda.
