The former
DPC of Buyende district was this morning forcefully arrested at his residence
and taken to police court in the afternoon.
The embattled DPC who had locked
himself up in his house after it was surrounded by a group of Policemen vowed
not to give himself up to them if he is not given audience by the police
spokesperson Kayima.
He later
surrendered to the Police force after a welder
was hired to break up the door leading to his house and Mr. Kirumira was forced to appear at the
Police court.
The court chairman
adjourned the court to February 6 after there was lack of witnesses from the
Police force.
