Ugandan
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has ordered the opening of Uganda’s number one tabloid newspaper called
the Redpepper after it was closed amidst news that it had reported involving
issues between Uganda and Rwanda.
The President in a meeting with the directors of the Redpepper publication at
Statehouse Entebbe warned the directors
to guard against recklessness.
He said the editors of publications should
become more professional inorder to avoid problems.
President Museveni has
pledged to order the Police to vacate
the premises of the Redpepper head quarters in Namanve.
The directors of the
newspaper have pledged to the president and nation to become a more transformed
newspaper.
