He is known to be one of the richest music artists in Africa especially East Africa. Jaguar was born in the slums of Nairobi and he lost his mother while still he was young and as a result of this loss, he was forced to do many odd jobs so that he could survive.

Among these jobs were working at construction sites, working as a taxi tout among others.

Eventually with the help of friends and the little resources that he had gathered from the odd jobs, he was able to complete his education and decided to venture into the music business.

Jaguar started his music career after he was signed to the once popular music duo called the Ogopa DJs in Kenya who were one of Kenya’s top music exports to east Africa and Africa as a whole.

He recorded a few songs with them until one day his hit song called Kigeugeu was released that took the ears of people around East Africa by storm.

Due to this song he gained popularity and was able to perform in many shows around East Africa and Africa as a whole.

He was able to win many music awards among which were Kisima Awards from Kenya, Afrima Awards held in Nigeria and many other awards. As a result of his musical success, Jaguar was able to venture into business where he started a real estate business in outskirts of Nairobi and other towns in Kenya.

He also ventured into transportation business among other business interests. Recently Jaguar decided to try his hand at politics where he contested as a Member of Parliament in his constituency and was voted into the house of representatives of Kenya.

His rags to riches story will continue to inspire many Kenyans and most importantly African youths that it is possible to become successful irrespective of the many trials and failures that we face in life.
