WHO IS VINKA?
Vinka is a Ugandan female singer, and songwriter. Before venturing into singing, Vinka was
acting as the manager of popular Ugandan female music artist called Irene
Ntale. They had disagreements over money
and they each decided to part ways.
This was the time when Irene Ntale decided
to quit Swangz Avenue a label that had helped her release popular hit songs
like Sembera, Gyobera among others.
After being fired from the managerial
position, Vinka decided to venture into singing and was backed up by the record
label called Swangz Avenue owned by Benon Mugumya. She released her first single called ‘Stylo’
that contains a lot of sexual innuedos within it but the song became popular
and an instant hit.
This song officially introduced Vinka to the Ugandan music
loving audience. She has continued to release songs like Malaika which is doing
well on the radio stations and Television stations.
She started singing in
January 2017 but with the way things are going, she is going to become the queen
of this industry.
