THE INSPIRING STORY OF JULIANA KANYOMOZI


Juliana Kanyomozi is a Ugandan female music artist, singer, vocalist and song writer. She started her music career in the late 1990s.



 She started singing with the likes of Bobiwine with whom they performed collabos among which were songs like ‘Mamambire’ that became popular and became an instant hit all over the country and all over East Africa.

 She used to perform Karaoke in bars and clubs around Kampala in those days. 

Juliana Kanyomozi is a talented vocalist who has persisted with her music till today; she has become one of the most respected musical talents in Uganda.  She comes from the western part of Uganda. 

Juliana Kanyomozi has won several awards in Ugandan music industry among these are PAM awards which were held in the late 90s and early 2000s. 

Juliana Kanyomozi is a celebrated female music diva who has inspired many people around the country especially the young music artists that are just starting out in the industry.  

Juliana Kanyomozi was once married to Amon Lukwago but the relationship ended. 

She had one child called Karen with her former husband. The daughter recently passed on. 

During that period, Juliana Kanyomozi had to take some time off the music scene to recollect her thoughts about her loss. 

In the year 2017 she has returned to the music industry releasing hit songs like Woman, I’m still here which have become popular hit songs.  

Her song I’m still here drew a lot of attention from the public especially on social media where most people were claiming that the video was a replica of Jennifer Lopez’s music video ‘Iam not your Mama’. 

Apart from all the controversy that surrounded the releasing of her music video, the song managed to capture the attention of the audience and her fans. 

Juliana Kanyomozi remains a strong force in the music industry in Uganda.
